About Deborah and Yogiyou
Deborah Gaunt is a trained yoga teacher and has worked with children for over 15 years. Deborah qualified as a Dru Yoga Instructor and went on to study massage to further her understanding of the musculoskeletal system.
Registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists and DRU Yoga Professional Register, she carried out post-graduate studies in children's yoga in the UK.
Employed as a Community Artist in 2000 at the Brewhouse Arts Centre, she facilitated workshops and education programs for children of all ages.
Over the past 9 she has taught at many schools and fitness and leisure centres in the Burton on Trent area. Currently she is teaching at Grange Community School, and Christchurch School, Burton on Trent.
She believes the success of the Yogiyou childrens yoga program is determined by the ability to target the physical and emotional needs of the children whilst having fun, stretching the body and learning to relax.

Dru Yoga is one of the most established forms of Yoga in the UK.
Tailored for the 21st century, yet rooted in ancient wisdom, Dru Yoga has rapidly made its mark as oneof the most effective antidotes to the stresses of modern day living. There are more than 500 Dru Yoga teachers worldwide, and a further 700 students are currently in training in the UK, Australia,Netherlands and North America.

Dru Yoga teachers have trained intensively in movement, relaxation, safety issues, anatomy and physiology. Students had a minimum of 240 hours of direct tuition from their tutors spread over eight intensive modules over four years. Home practice and home assignments accounted for another 450 hours of study and personal exploration of the course materials and supplementary studies.
In order to receive the Dru Yoga Diploma they have had to successfully complete eight in depth assignments, completed portfolio sheets of their daily practice and passed a one hour assessment of their teaching ability, which also takes into account their safety awareness.
